![]() ![]() Dryads really shine against Heavy Melee as Banshees do against Heavy Range. IMO dryads and banshees are often underused. There is no such building for light melee troops and the small attack boost from Victory Springs doesn't compare, so in some situations I can make use of these guys beyond those early rounds. There's the added benefit if it's a tourney where I've placed a light range military boost building so they strike harder. ![]() Cerebus is great against enemy mages, but so is a 2star Ranger depending on enemy mix. This conserves the stronger troops for the more difficult battles. I find some of the specialty troops less useful than others, but I've found a way to use all of them in the early rounds of the lower provinces. I get Orc Strategists and Valorian Guards from the special event/crafting bldgs. I get a few of each of the barracks troops from the AW's as well, reducing (not by a lot, but still.) the need to train as many barracks troops. Training time is close to the same for troops in all 3 buildings.Īll troops in all bldgs are at least 2star Merc Camp has Drone Rider at 3 star, Training Grounds has Cerebus, Dryad and Banshee at 3 star and all Barracks troops are 3 star. Just entering Constructs with every available AW to speed up the specialty troop buildings as well as the other military wonders available to me. As a fairly heavy tourney player, with 2 elven cities (avg 3-4K/week in points) I find benefits to all three training bldgs. ![]()
